"Scam Artist" to be performed at the Chesapeake Arts Center

"Scam Artist" a brand-new, original full-length play by Truest Ethos Co-Founder, Marshall Logan Gibbs, is to be performed at the beautiful Studio 194 theatre at the Chesapeake Arts Center on August 26th and 27th, 2022. This will be the first full production staged by Truest Ethos Theatre Company.


The cast is led by young and talented local performers: Randi Seepersad as Bobbi, Broadus Nesbitt III as Richard, Jake Devries as Rhett, and Darian Grade as Shirley/Grandma.


Synopsis:

Bobbi Miller makes her living scamming the elderly. It's easy, she's good at it, and she makes bank. But after finding out her own grandmother was scammed shortly before she died, she finds herself doubting her lifestyle for the first time. But after so much damage is done, is it too late to change her ways?

Set in the grunge wave of the 90s, with themes of guilt, grief, and morality - "Scam Artist," asks the question... are we all truly capable of change?
